DHCP -Setup

After DHCP Role is added as one of the prerequisites you need to check the following:

1. DHCP SCOPE - here you will set range of IP address or you can have the DHCP range of SonicWall or any router capable of it -that we can use for deployment to connect in the Windows Deployment Server during installation.

2. DHCP SCOPE OPTION - you need to add the following base on my sample attached.

3. Credential - you need to provide the admin credential of the server in the IPv4 Properties for authentication

     

4. Lastly, you need to restart the it for effectivity.

WDS Requirements

IN CONFIGURING WDS YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING:

• PC/Unit with Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard or oldest OS

• Set PC Name *this is already the name of your Server

• Set Static IP 

• These are the prerequisite windows server roles needed to add for windows deployment server:


Active Directory Domain Services
DHCP
DNS
WDS
WSUS *optional

• Install Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2012 (MDT)
